Eneza Education has launched a promotion dubbed Chemsha Bongo Na Shupavu291, which will involve users learning on their SMS learning platform, Shupavu291. This promotion will run from August 17th to September 30th, 2019. 

Chemsha Bongo Na Shupavu291 is a promotion in which students taking primary courses (Class 4 – Class 8) on Shupavu291, in schools registered with the Ministry of Science, Education, and Technology in Kenya will compete based on their engagement on Shupavu291. This promotion will be based on direct airtime use of 3 Kenya shillings per day, to access the SHUPAVU291_ SMS services.

Participation in the campaign is upon the registration to Shupavu291 by dialing *291# and registering their school on the Shupavu291 platform. 

Shupavu291 is an SMS/USSD learning platform, available on the Safaricom network. Shupavu291 product was launched in 2013. It provides unlimited revision content to primary and secondary students via SMS at a cost of KES 3 per day. Learners are able to: access 8-4-4 lessons, quizzes, revision papers, chat with a live teacher and access to offline Wikipedia, by dialing *291# on any Safaricom phone.

Winners will be awarded as follows: Top 5 students to get KES 10,000 each and one term worth of free access to Shupavu29.  Top school in each county will get KES 100,000 per winning school. 

The promotion will be conducted on a regional basis. The regions are as follows: Nairobi, Central, Nyanza, Western, Rift Valley, Coast, Eastern North Eastern.
